We will be offering a special amateur radio license exam session on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Ola Fire Department in Ola, Arkansas. This will be your last chance to get licensed before the new FCC license fee goes into effect on April 19.

We will be offering Technician, General and Extra exams at this session.

The exam fee is $15 and can be paid by cash or check payable to “ARRL VEC”. If you pass one exam, you can take the next level without paying an additional exam fee. If you fail an exam, you can immediately take another exam by paying another $15 exam fee.

If you’re taking the Technician exam, you must register at the FCC CORES website and obtain an FRN number before you can take the test. You can do that online now at the link below:

https://apps.fcc.gov/cores/userLogin.do

In addition to the FRN, all examinees must have a valid photo ID, and a valid email address so that you can receive your license from the FCC. Current licensees wishing to upgrade must also bring a copy of your license showing your existing license class in order to take the appropriate upgrade exam.

We encourage you to register in advance using the form below so that we know how many people to expect and can plan accordingly. You will pay the fee when you come to take the test.

If you have any questions, contact the Two Rivers Amateur Radio Group VE Team Lead Harper Grubbs, W5HRP using the form at this link.
