The Two Rivers Amateur Radio Group will host an amateur radio license exam session on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at the Ola Fire Station. The exam session will begin at the conclusion of our monthly club meeting, which begins at 7:00. Anyone wishing to take the exam is welcome to join us for the meeting at 7:00 or can come only for the exam if preferred. We expect the exam session to begin at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Registration for the exam is encouraged but not required. Please indicate on your registration the exam element that you are taking. If you are new to amateur radio, then select Technician Exam. The cost to take the exam is $15 and can be paid by cash or check payable to ARRL/VEC. At this time, we cannot accept payments via the website. Bring the fee to the exam session.
If you pass the first exam element, you can take the next exam the same night without paying an additional fee. If you fail your exam element, you can immediately re-test upon paying an additional $15 fee.
IMPORTANT: If you do not currently hold an amateur radio license, you are REQUIRED to register on the FCC Universal Licensing System and obtain an FRN before you come to the exam session and bring your FRN with you to the session. We cannot administer the exam without your FRN.
The Two Rivers Amateur Radio Group is an ARRL accredited VE team.
